First announcement   THE 6th VIETNAM-KOREA WORKSHOP MATHEMATICAL OPTIMIZATION THEORY AND APPLICATIONS (Nhatrang, February 25-29, 2008)   Mathematical Optimization Theory has proved to be an useful tool for solving many practical problems. In order to strengthen the research and teaching cooperation between mathematicians from Vietnam and Korea in the field of optimization theory, the Institute of Mathematics (Hanoi,Vietnam), the Pukyong National University (Pusan, Korea) and the Nhatrang Teacher College (Nhatrang,Vietnam) organize the 6th Workshop on mathematical optimization theory and applications. The workshop will take place at the Nhatrang Teacher College in the city of Nhatrang on the most beautiful beach in Vietnam. Researchers in optimization theory from Vietnam, Korea, and other countries are invited to participate in the workshop. The workshop will be composed of 40-minute invited lectures and 25-minute talks reporting new research results.
