Abstract. The purpose of this paper is to give
a modp analogue of the Lomonaco
invarianttheoretic description of the lambda algebra for p an odd prime. Moreprecisely, using
modular in variants of the general linear group GL_{n} = GL(n, F_{p}) and its Borel subgroup B_{n}, we construct a
differential algebra Q – which is
isomorphic to the lambda algebra Λ=Λ_{p}.
